Type / Nature of Opportunity
Full time position for a Research Associate focused on direct tax systems reform.
Eligibility Criteria
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in tax, legal research, or public policy.
- Educational qualifications: LLB, LLM or CA. A master’s in public policy is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong writing, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrable interest in data driven work, public institutions, and systemic reform.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on litigation, assessments, and dispute resolution in the direct tax domain.
- Analyse pendency and disposal patterns and work with tax data.
- Support design and delivery of stakeholder workshops, roundtables, and consultations.
- Draft policy briefs, blogs, case studies, and other knowledge products.
- Collaborate with senior practitioners and veterans from the Income Tax Department.
- Contribute to data driven analysis and prepare actionable recommendations for reform.
Mode of Work
- Onsite at DAKSH office in Bengaluru.
Compensation
- INR 10 to 12 LPA.
