Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field
- Relevant experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, or information security
- Certifications such as DPO, CIPP/E, CIPP/A, DCPP, or similar are preferred
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable data protection laws
- Overseeing lawful, secure, and purpose-limited processing of personal data
- Reviewing and approving privacy notices and consent mechanisms
- Managing data principal rights and grievance redressal within statutory timelines
- Acting as escalation authority for unresolved data protection grievances
- Identifying, assessing, and reporting personal data breaches to regulators and affected individuals
- Conducting and reviewing Data Protection Impact Assessments for high-risk processing activities
- Monitoring vendor and third-party compliance with data protection requirements
- Overseeing data retention, deletion, anonymization, and audit-ready documentation
- Leading internal data protection training and promoting a privacy-by-design culture
- Coordinating with IT, Legal, Compliance, and Information Security teams

Skills Required
- Strong understanding of the DPDP Act, 2023 and core data protection principles
- Knowledge of privacy governance, risk assessment, and incident management
- Ability to work independently and provide objective advice to management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
