Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have:
- At least 5 years of litigation experience.
- Experience combining corporate law firm and in-house legal work.
- Company Secretary qualification.
- LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a recognized university.
- Prior experience before courts and tribunals is preferred.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and supervising civil, labour and criminal litigation across courts, tribunals and law enforcement authorities.
- Reviewing cases and analysing relevant facts, laws and regulations.
- Drafting, reviewing and vetting pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, applications and legal notices.
- Tracking litigation timelines and maintaining case management records.
- Preparing briefing materials and instructions for external counsel.
- Coordinating with external advocates, law firms and consultants.
- Supporting hearings, trials, settlement negotiations, mediation and arbitration.
- Providing legal advice to business, HR and operations teams on litigation risks and dispute avoidance.
- Assisting with internal investigations and regulatory inquiries.
- Handling company secretarial compliances and related responsibilities.
