Position: Legal & Compliance Intern (Technology & SaaS)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Law (LL.B., B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B.) or a related field.
- Possess strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Have excellent written English and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Have an interest in technology, startups, SaaS products, intellectual property, and compliance.
- Be comfortable using AI tools for legal research and drafting.
- Be capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship experience in legal, compliance, contracts, or corporate law.
- Exposure to technology law, data privacy, intellectual property, or startup ecosystems.
- Familiarity with software products and SaaS business models.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Interns will be responsible for:
- Researching legal and regulatory requirements applicable to software and SaaS products.
- Drafting and maintaining legal documents, including:
- Terms & Conditions
- Privacy Policies
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Software License Agreements
- Service Agreements
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Statement of Work (SOW) Templates
- Internal policies and compliance documents
- Reviewing employment and internship agreements for intellectual property and confidentiality provisions.
- Creating and maintaining a centralized legal and compliance document repository.
- Assisting with trademark, copyright, and intellectual property documentation.
- Conducting research on data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology compliance requirements.
- Coordinating document reviews and revisions based on founder feedback.
- Utilizing AI-powered tools for legal research, drafting, and document management.
- Maintaining compliance trackers and document version control systems.
