About the Organization
The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has been constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to provide free legal services to weaker sections of society and to organize Lok Adalats for amicable settlement of disputes.

Legal Internship Opportunity
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from:
- Students pursuing:
- Three-Year LL.B. Course, or
- Five-Year Integrated Law Course
- Candidates must be enrolled in a recognized University/College/Institution.
Preference will be given to:
- 3rd to 5th year students of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course
- 2nd to 3rd year students of the Three-Year LL.B. Course
Duration of Internship
- Duration: 1 Month (4 Weeks)
- Internship begins from the 1st day of the month.
Areas of Work / Exposure
Interns will gain exposure to:
- Functioning of NALSA and Legal Services Institutions
- Legal aid mechanisms and access to justice initiatives
- SOPs, schemes, modules, and statistical reports related to NALSA
- Field visits to:
- Delhi State Legal Services Authority
- District Legal Services Authority
- Legal Aid Defense Counsel Office
- National Lok Adalat
- Remand Courts
- CAW Cells
- DM Office
- Supreme Court Mediation Centre
- Supreme Court Library
- Supreme Court Legal Services Committee
Mode of Work
Offline / Physical Internship
Interns are required to attend physically and work full-time during the internship tenure.
Internship Guidelines
- Office Timings: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- 90% attendance is mandatory
- Interns must carry their own laptops
- Interns may be required to travel locally for visits to courts and offices
- Dress Code: Formal Black & White attire as prescribed by the Bar Council of Delhi
Stipend / Perks
- No stipend or remuneration will be provided.
- Internship Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the internship subject to 90% attendance.
- No Letter of Recommendation will be issued.

- One-page or shorter write-up explaining interest and suitability
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from:
- Dean
- Head of Department
- Internship & Placement Committee
- or any higher authority
The NOC must clearly mention the candidate’s name and semester/year.

Selection Procedure
- Selection will be based on a draw of lots.
- Decision of the Competent Authority shall be final.
Important Notes / Additional Information
- Applications will be accepted only through online mode.
- No other mode of application/request will be entertained.
- Candidates are advised not to apply during their college examinations due to the strict attendance requirement.
