Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
- Not more than 40 years as on the last date of receiving applications
Essential Qualifications:
- LL.B. from a University/Institution recognized by UGC
- Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of the State where practicing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Civil matters
- Service matters
- Labour arbitration cases
- Exposure to drafting Agreements, MOUs, Deeds etc., after enrolment
Remuneration
- Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 42,000 per month
- No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid
Period of Engagement
- Initial term of 1 year
- Extendable up to 2 additional years based on requirement and satisfactory performance
- Maximum tenure: 3 years
Scope of Work
As detailed in the official notification, responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice on administrative, disciplinary, and court matters of ICMR Headquarters and its Institutes
- Attending court hearings and arbitrations in Delhi and other cities if required
- Drafting and settling counter replies, speaking orders, MOUs, agreements, tender documents
- Advising on service matters pertaining to Government of India
- Monitoring and following up on assigned legal issues
- Recommending appropriate legal course of action
Leave & Other Conditions
- 08 days leave per calendar year on pro-rata basis
- Restricted holidays as per Government of India/ICMR rules
- TA/DA admissible for official domestic tours as per ICMR guidelines
- No PF, LTC, Medical claim, CCA or similar benefits

Candidates must appear for the Walk-in Interview with:
- All original educational certificates (from 10th onwards)
- Experience certificates
- Age proof
- Caste certificate, if applicable
- Valid photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport/PAN/Driving Licence)
- Two sets of self-attested copies of all documents
- Duly filled and signed prescribed application form (Annexure) with recent passport-size photograph

Incomplete or unsigned applications or failure to submit required documents will lead to rejection.
Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting based on educational qualifications, age, and experience
- Written test or assignment may be conducted if required
- Final selection based on performance in interview

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
- Engagement is purely temporary and contractual
- No claim for regular/permanent employment in ICMR
- ICMR reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning reasons
