About the Job
Juspay is hiring a Senior Legal Associate to support and manage legal operations across its products and global entities. The role involves extensive exposure to commercial contracting, fintech regulations, data protection, and cross-border legal matters within a fast-scaling technology company.
Eligibility Criteria
- 2 to 4 years of experience with a reputed law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in fintech or technology sector
- Strong knowledge of contract law, fintech regulations, and data protection laws
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a high-growth environment
- High integrity, ownership mindset, and collaborative approach
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS contracts, partnerships, and technology service agreements
- Providing practical, business-oriented legal advice
- Managing contract lifecycle and maintaining a centralized contract repository
Regulatory and Compliance (India and International)
- Monitoring regulatory developments in fintech and payments sector
- Assisting with compliance frameworks and coordinating audit-related queries
Global Legal and Corporate Governance
- Supporting legal compliance and documentation for subsidiaries in Singapore, Ireland, Brazil, and the United States
- Assisting with cross-border transactions and related documentation
Data Protection and Privacy
- Supporting implementation of GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks
- Conducting privacy risk assessments and reviewing data transfer arrangements
- Ensuring adoption of privacy-by-design principles across internal processes
Internal Legal Support and Research
- Conducting legal research and preparing internal guidance notes
- Liaising with cross-functional teams across the organization
