Capital One is hiring for the position of Senior Associate – Legal (Third Party Management Oversight). The role involves providing legal and risk oversight to ensure a robust and compliant third party management framework aligned with enterprise standards, Indian laws, and regulatory expectations. The position plays a strategic role in driving continuous improvement and managing third party risk across Capital One India.
Eligibility Criteria
Basic Qualifications
- Qualified LLB
- Company Secretary and Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the legal field
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in Third Party Management or Operational Risk Management
- Strong understanding of Third Party Risk and lifecycle management
- Experience working with Indian subsidiaries of US banks, financial institutions, or credit institutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven ability to influence and engage with senior leadership and executives
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end oversight of the Third Party Management lifecycle including onboarding, monitoring, and exit
- Acting as the primary subject matter expert for Third Party Risk Management matters
- Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and enterprise risk teams
- Supporting transformational Third Party Management projects
- Developing and maintaining third party risk metrics, reporting, and communications
- Supporting audits, regulatory examinations, and enterprise risk initiatives
- Working closely with compliance and legal teams to address regulatory changes and emerging risks
- Managing vendor onboarding, offboarding, payments, invoices, and purchase orders
- Ensuring compliance with third party management policies, standards, and procedures
- Escalating risks and issues appropriately and in a timely manner
