About the Organization
Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent legal think tank engaged in high-quality legal research to improve law-making and governance for the public good. Vidhi works closely with Ministries of the Government of India, State Governments, and other public institutions by providing research and drafting support at multiple stages of the legislative process. It also undertakes independent research in key areas of legal reform critical to India’s future and actively contributes to informed public discourse.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in law
- 0 to 1 year of demonstrable work experience in legal research, academia, or litigation
- Bilingual fluency in an Indian language
- Excellent legal research and drafting skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to meet deadlines
Desirable Qualifications
- Master’s degree in law, particularly in constitutional law
- Prior experience working with civil society organisations and diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrable record of publications and research work
- Ability to explain complex constitutional law issues in an accessible manner
- Experience in public speaking
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Conducting high-quality legal research, analysis, and drafting in constitutional and public law
- Preparing reports, position papers, research notes, and presentations
- Coordinating and participating in meetings and consultations with government officials, academics, researchers, and other stakeholders
- Writing articles and blogs, and participating in podcasts and other audio-visual platforms for dissemination of research
- Working primarily with the Charkha team while contributing to other teams based on institutional requirements and individual strengths

Remuneration
Competitive remuneration, commensurate with experience and Vidhi’s existing compensation structure
