About the Job
S.S. Rana & Co is inviting applications for the position of Patent Paralegal. The role involves providing comprehensive support to patent attorneys in prosecution, portfolio management, and other patent-related matters.
Eligibility Criteria
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented candidates with strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of patent laws, procedures, and filing requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with patent docketing and management systems
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle confidential information
- Strong legal research and analytical skills in patent-related matters
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Assisting patent attorneys in patent prosecution, filings, and portfolio management
- Handling patent-related queries
- Preparing, filing, and managing patent applications including provisional, complete, PCT, and national phase filings
- Monitoring and managing patent deadlines, annuities, renewals, and First Examination Report responses
- Maintaining and updating patent databases, docketing systems, and case files
- Assisting in patent searches, prior art analysis, and preparation of search reports
- Drafting routine patent-related documents, reports, and professional correspondence
- Organizing, indexing, and maintaining patent records and supporting documentation
- Assisting in preparation of documents for hearings, oppositions, or patent litigation matters, where applicable
