The Competition Commission of India is a statutory body established under the Competition Act, 2002. It is responsible for promoting and sustaining competition in markets, preventing anti-competitive practices, and protecting consumer interests across India. The Commission was established on 14 October 2003 and functions under the Government of India.

About the Opportunity
Applications are invited for the Legal Internship Programme at the Competition Commission of India. The internship provides practical exposure to competition law, regulatory analysis, and policy research.
The notification issued in March 2020 continues to remain in force. The CCI offers internships every month, selecting 15 interns per batch.
Eligibility Criteria
- Second and third year students of the 3-year LL.B. course
- Fourth and final year students of the 5-year integrated LL.B. course
- Students who have completed the 3rd year examination and are entering the 4th year (5-year course)
- LL.M. students
Additional Qualifications
- Applicable only to Indian Nationals
- Must be enrolled in recognized institutions or universities
- Exposure to Competition Law is preferred
- Students with confirmed placement offers are not eligible
Duration
- Normally one month, commencing from the 1st working day of the month
- Students may apply for 2–3 calendar months with due recommendation from their University/College

- Electronic certificate awarded upon successful completion

- Applications must reach by the 1st of the preceding month for the intended internship month
Application Process
Candidates must:
- Apply in the prescribed format provided by CCI
- Attach recommendation from the competent authority of their academic institution
- Submit a Statement of Purpose of approximately 200 words outlining the topic and objectives of study
- Ensure the application is complete in all respects
