About the Organization
Competition Commission of India is a statutory body established under the Competition Act, 2002. It is responsible for preventing practices having an appreciable adverse effect on competition, promoting and sustaining competition in markets, protecting consumer interests, and ensuring freedom of trade across India.

Legal Internship Opportunity
Eligibility Criteria
• Law students pursuing a 3-year LL.B. program and currently in the 2nd or 3rd year
• Law students pursuing a 5-year integrated LL.B. program and currently in the 4th or final year, including students who have completed the 3rd year and are entering the 4th year
• LLM students
• Applicants must be Indian nationals
• Applicants must be enrolled in recognized institutions or universities
• Students with confirmed placements are not eligible
Additional Qualifications
• Prior exposure to Competition Law is required
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
• Legal research in competition law matters
• Assistance in legal analysis and policy-related work
• Support to mentors in assigned legal tasks
Mode of Work
Offline internship
Location: Delhi
Duration
• Normally one month, commencing from the first working day of the month
• Internship for 2 to 3 months may be permitted with a recommendation from the concerned university or institution
Stipend / Perks
• Stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month
• Electronic certificate upon successful completion, subject to mentor certification
Seats Available
• 15 interns per month
Important Dates and Timelines
• Applications are accepted on a rolling basis
• Applications must reach by the 1st day of the preceding month for which internship is sought

• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format as provided by CCI
• A recommendation letter from a competent academic authority is mandatory
• A Statement of Purpose of approximately 200 words is required

• Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email
• The internship guidelines issued in March 2020 remain applicable, and CCI continues to select 15 interns every month under this notification
