About the Job
Grant Thornton Bharat is hiring Managers, Assistant Managers, and Consultants for its Privacy Consulting practice. With the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 now in force, the role involves advising clients on the design, implementation, and operationalisation of DPDPA-aligned privacy frameworks, along with global privacy compliance advisory.
Eligibility Criteria
- 3 to 5 years of experience in privacy and data protection, with consulting experience preferred
- Strong hands-on understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its operational requirements
- Familiarity with global privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA
- CIPPE, CIPM, or equivalent privacy certification (mandatory)
- Experience with privacy tools such as OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar platforms
- Exposure to ISO 27701, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar audits
- Experience working with regulated sectors such as BFSI and fintech
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing DPDPA 2023 compliance and implementation engagements
- Conducting privacy gap assessments, DPIAs, readiness assessments, and SDF obligation reviews
- Supporting implementation of consent management, data principal rights handling, grievance redressal, and breach response mechanisms
- Drafting and reviewing privacy notices, consent artefacts, DPAs, and internal policies
- Driving data discovery, RoPA, data mapping, and remediation planning initiatives
- Advising on DPDPA, GDPR, CCPA, and cross-border data protection matters
- Delivering DPDPA-focused trainings and awareness programs
- Preparing management dashboards, reports, and client presentations
- Supporting proposals, pitches, and client discussions
