Legal Counsel Role
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience
- Bachelor of General Law or equivalent qualification
- Strong experience in litigation, employment laws, and corporate advisory
- Ability to independently handle complex legal matters and stakeholder interactions
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Litigation and Arbitration
- Handling litigations across multiple forums including Labour Courts, Industrial Courts, District Courts, High Courts, and other judicial bodies across India
- Managing arbitration proceedings and High Court matters arising from arbitrations
- Drafting pleadings, affidavits, statements of claim and defence, counterclaims, and legal notices
- Litigation risk assessment, strategy formulation, and management reporting
Employment and Labour Matters
- Handling employment and labour disputes under Industrial Disputes Act and allied labour laws
- Advising on IR and ER issues, compliance under contract labour and social security laws
- Drafting and reviewing disciplinary documents including show cause notices, charge sheets, and termination orders
- Supporting global mobility and cross-border employment matters கொள்ள
Vendor Contracts and Corporate Advisory
- Drafting and reviewing MSAs, SoWs, SLAs, MOUs, vendor and service agreements
- Reviewing employment contracts, licensing, consultancy, CSR, lease, and sponsorship agreements
Management Reporting and Audits
- Preparing litigation reports for senior management and external auditors
- Handling audit queries and coordinating independent evaluations from external counsels
Data Privacy
- Working knowledge of global data privacy and data protection laws
- Reviewing data processing and data transfer agreements
- Understanding compliance obligations of controllers and processors
