Position: Legal Counsel
Employment Type: Full-Time
Eligibility Criteria
- LL.B. degree
- 5 to 6 years of post-qualification experience
- Preferably experience across both law firm and in-house roles
- Strong experience in commercial and SaaS contracting
- Exposure to employment and HR-related legal matters
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities in a fast-paced technology environment
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
1. Contracting and Commercial Negotiations
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS agreements, MSAs, SOWs, reseller and partner agreements, NDAs, vendor and customer contracts
- Leading end-to-end commercial negotiations
- Supporting Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams in deal closures
- Standardizing contract templates, playbooks, and clause libraries
- Supporting contract lifecycle management, renewals, amendments, and deal structuring
2. Employment and HR Legal Support
- Advising on employment contracts, offer letters, and separation documentation
- Drafting and reviewing workplace policies, employee handbooks, and code of conduct
- Advising on POSH compliance, disciplinary processes, investigations, and grievance handling
- Coordinating with external counsel in dispute management
3. Risk Management and Legal Operations
- Providing day-to-day legal advisory to internal stakeholders
- Identifying contractual and operational risks and proposing business-aligned solutions
- Improving internal legal documentation and processes
4. Data Privacy Support
- Assisting in basic data protection compliance in commercial contracts and internal policies
