About the Organization
The Karnataka State Mental Health Authority has been established under Sections 45 and 46 of the Mental Health Care Act, 2017, pursuant to Government Orders issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka. The Authority is responsible for implementation, regulation, and oversight of mental health services within the State.

- Enrolment with the Bar Council is mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of professional legal experience
- At least 2 years of experience in providing legal consultancy services to government sectors, preferably in health or mental health-related institutions
