About the Job
Cognizant is hiring an Executive – Indirect Tax (GST) to manage GST litigation and related compliance matters. The role involves close coordination with internal finance teams and interactions with tax authorities to ensure effective handling of indirect tax issues within the organization.
Eligibility Criteria
- 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in an indirect tax role
- Active involvement in GST litigation
- Expert knowledge of GST law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to draft responses to Show Cause Notices, appeals, and related documents
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Managing GST related litigation matters
- Preparing and responding to Show Cause Notices and departmental communications
- Addressing technical GST queries raised by internal business teams
- Interacting with GST department officials to resolve issues
- Coordinating with finance teams to collect data for regulatory responses
- Monitoring changes in GST laws and ensuring timely compliance and implementation
