About the IPR Chair, NLSIU
The Intellectual Property Rights Chair at NLSIU has been established by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, under the SPRIHA scheme. The Chair aims to promote advanced teaching, research, pedagogy, and public policy engagement in the field of Intellectual Property Rights through specialised courses, seminars, workshops, and outreach initiatives.

About the Job
NLSIU invites applications for the post of DPIIT Intellectual Property Rights Chair.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy any one of the following criteria:
- Served as or eligible to serve as Professor or Associate Professor as per UGC norms, with substantial teaching and research experience in Intellectual Property Rights, or
- Practising IP attorney with a minimum of ten years of experience in IPR law, or
- A professional with at least ten years of recognised experience in the field of Intellectual Property Rights, or
- A retired official of the IP Office under CGPDTM holding a doctorate degree, with a minimum of five years’ experience at Level 12 or above, such as Controller of Patents and Designs, Registrar of Trademarks and Geographical Indications, or Registrar of Copyrights

Stipend / Salary
- Consolidated salary of Rs 1,50,000 per month
- Annual increment of 3 percent after completion of each 12-month period
