About the Job
H and M Group is inviting applications for the position of Compliance Specialist to support its regulatory, legal, and compliance operations in India.
Eligibility Criteria
- Formal legal education is mandatory (LLB or LLM)
- Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in the retail regulatory space
- Sound understanding of laws including Legal Metrology, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, and commercial laws
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong analytical, strategic, and planning skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross functional teams
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Assessing the impact of current and upcoming legal and regulatory requirements on business operations
- Conducting legal research related to existing and new products
- Monitoring compliance through audits and coordinating with internal stakeholders
- Converting complex regulatory provisions into practical compliance guidelines
- Developing and updating legal and compliance SOPs
- Training internal teams on legal and compliance requirements
- Liaising with statutory, regulatory, government, and judicial authorities for approvals, licenses, and registrations
- Providing day to day legal and compliance support to business teams
- Handling additional legal responsibilities as per business requirements
