About the Organization
The National Legal Rights Consortium (NLRC) functions under the aegis of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), a premier national chamber dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs and professionals across diverse sectors. WICCI actively amplifies the voices of women leaders and professionals while engaging in advocacy, policy initiatives, and capacity-building efforts at national and state levels.
Type / Nature of Opportunity
Consortium Membership Opportunity (Leadership and Advocacy Role)
Eligibility Criteria
- Only women candidates are eligible
- Law students from a university or college recognized by the Bar Council of India
- Candidate must either be a resident of Uttarakhand or studying at an institution located in Uttarakhand
- Prior internship experience with legal firms, organizations, or advocates
- Experience in social media management, public relations, or visual and graphic content creation
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe or Canva
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Advocating for legal rights and participating in reform-oriented initiatives at the state level
- Conducting public awareness and community education programs on legal rights
- Supporting access to justice initiatives through pro bono legal assistance networks
- Engaging with legislators and government agencies to influence law-making and policy reforms
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting violations of legal rights
- Collaborating with the President, Vice President, and other members on strategic planning and implementation
- Developing policy recommendations, public-private partnership concepts, and advocacy proposals
- Leading outreach initiatives and representing the Consortium before relevant institutions
