Associate Role in International Arbitration (Construction Law)
About the Opportunity
Secure Legal & Associates is inviting applications for an Associate to join its International Arbitration team. The role involves handling cross-border construction and infrastructure disputes, with end-to-end involvement in arbitration proceedings before leading international tribunals.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Drafting Statements of Claim and Defence, memorials, and procedural applications before SIAC, LCIA, and ICC tribunals
- Managing arbitration procedure, timelines, disclosures, and compliance with rules of international seats such as London and Singapore
- Liaising and briefing Senior Advocates in India and King’s Counsel or Barristers in the UK and Singapore
- Conducting in-depth legal research on international construction law, FIDIC contracts, and jurisdictional issues
- Acting as a key point of contact for corporate clients and providing strategic case updates and advisory
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- LL.B. from a top-tier National Law University or an equivalent reputed institution
Preferred Qualification
- LL.M. or recognised international certification in Construction Law
Professional Requirements
- Enrolment with the Bar Council of India
- AIBE qualified
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Proven experience in international arbitrations seated in London under LCIA or Singapore under SIAC
- Familiarity with construction delay analysis and technical expert evidence is highly preferred
