Samsung today confirmed through its community forum that the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta is planned to be available to users of the Galaxy S21 series in September. The exact release date was not disclosed. However, when Samsung mentioned the Beta program last time, the company claimed that the first Beta version is “coming soon.” No other details are provided. Although we have already expected that the Beta program will land on the Galaxy S21 series before the end of this year, Samsung has officially confirmed that it will be launched soon.

It is not surprising that One UI 4.0 came to the Galaxy S21 series. These three flagships are expected to be the first companies to join the Beta program. Last week, the Galaxy S21 Ultra was found to be running Android 12 on the internet. Last month, Samsung almost confirmed that the Galaxy S21 series will soon receive the first beta of One UI 4.0, but now we finally have a more specific schedule for September.

The Galaxy S21 series will be the first to join the One UI 4.0 Beta, but it shouldn’t be the only one. The Galaxy Note 20 series may also accept the beta program, but we will wait and see. In any case, once the firmware is out of the testing phase and released, a host of Galaxy smartphones will eventually get Android 12 and One UI 4.0.

As for the expectations of One UI 4.0, the next version introduces appearance changes and visual improvements, such as new application icons and color schemes. Samsung may also improve Knox, and once the beta is scheduled to be available in the next few weeks, other underlying changes may become clearer.
