About the Organization
The National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) is India’s independent regulator established under the Companies Act, 2013 to oversee accounting and auditing standards and safeguard the quality of financial reporting. NFRA invites applications from eligible legal professionals for engagement as Young Professional (Legal) on a contractual basis.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Candidates should be below 32 years of age as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification
- Essential:
- LL.B. from a recognized university/institution; or
- Five-year integrated BA LL.B. programme.
- Desirable:
- LL.M., preferably in Corporate Law.
- Experience in domains related to NFRA.
Experience
- Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in legal matters.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Legal research
- Drafting petitions
- Drafting counter affidavits
- Excellent computer proficiency, including MS Office, internet usage, and legal research tools.
- Desirable:
- Experience of working with Government or Statutory Bodies.
Number of Vacancies
- 04 Posts (Young Professional – Legal).
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Drafting petitions and counter affidavits.
- Legal vetting and rendering legal opinions.
- Conducting legal research.
- Managing legal databases.
- Assisting senior officers in legal matters and performing other duties assigned by NFRA.
Mode of Work
- Full-Time (Contractual)
- Place of Posting: New Delhi.
Duration of Engagement
- Initial contract of 2 years.
- Extendable by one year at a time, up to a maximum tenure of 5 years (2+1+1+1 years) based on performance and organizational requirements.
Selection Procedure
Selection may comprise:
- Written Assessment/Test
- Interview
- Or both, as decided by NFRA.
Remuneration
- ₹70,000 per month (consolidated) during the first year.
- Performance-based enhancement:
- Up to 5% increment for significant contribution.
- Up to 10% increment for exceptional performance.
- No additional benefits such as HRA, Medical, or Transport Allowance are admissible.
