Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or an equivalent legal qualification from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with a recognized Bar Association or legal regulatory authority.
- 2–5 years of experience in corporate law, either in a law firm or an in-house legal department.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, contract law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High standards of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Advising on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, business operations, and strategic transactions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and licensing agreements.
- Supporting mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, fundraising, restructuring, and due diligence processes.
- Advising management and internal stakeholders on legal risks and compliance obligations.
- Preparing and maintaining corporate records, board resolutions, governance documents, and statutory filings.
- Assisting with company incorporation, corporate structuring, and management of domestic and international subsidiaries.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and providing proactive legal advice.
- Collaborating with finance, HR, operations, and external legal counsel on legal and compliance matters.
- Managing legal risks relating to commercial operations, intellectual property, partnerships, and regulatory compliance.
- Supporting dispute prevention strategies and coordinating with external legal advisors when required.
Preferred Skills
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Mergers and acquisitions (M&A), venture capital, private equity, fundraising, or cross-border transactions.
- Employment law, data privacy, intellectual property, and commercial compliance.
- In-house legal roles in startups, multinational corporations, or high-growth organizations.
- Contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, legal technology platforms, and document automation systems.
- Multi-jurisdictional legal matters and international corporate structures.
