Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be a Registered Patent Agent.
- Hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Life Sciences
- Chemistry
- Biotechnology
- Pharmacy
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Computer Science
- Candidates with multidisciplinary technical knowledge will be preferred.
- Candidates possessing a law degree will have an added advantage.
- Have relevant experience in Patent Drafting and Patent Law:
- Approximately 2–3 years of experience for junior-level roles.
- Approximately 8–10 years of experience for managerial-level roles.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written English proficiency.
- Possess good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Drafting patent specifications for the United States, European Union, and Indian jurisdictions.
- Handling patent prosecution matters and preparing examination responses.
- Reviewing invention disclosures and advising inventors on patent strategy.
- Conducting patentability assessments and evaluating inventive concepts.
- Preparing patent claims and complete patent applications aligned with business objectives.
- Analyzing patent and non-patent literature to assess technological developments and competitive landscapes.
- Conducting claim mapping, claim charting, and right-to-market assessments.
- Performing patent landscape and technology research.
- Identifying complex intellectual property issues and developing effective solutions.
- Applying knowledge of patent laws, regulations, legal procedures, and relevant precedents.
