About the Internship
The Ministry of Women and Child Development invites applications under its Internship Programme for women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers associated with universities or other academic and non-academic institutions.
The programme aims to provide interns with exposure to the Ministry’s functioning, policy initiatives, and programmes related to women and child welfare. Selected interns may also undertake pilot projects or micro-studies focusing on the Ministry’s ongoing activities and policy initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Women students, scholars, social activists, or teachers associated with any university, academic, or non-academic institution
- Candidates belonging to Non-Tier I cities and rural areas of India
- Age group: 21 to 40 years
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking pilot projects and micro-studies related to the Ministry’s programmes
- Assisting in policy analysis and research on issues concerning women and child development
- Engaging with ongoing initiatives and programmes of the Ministry

Important Dates and Timelines
- Duration: 2 Months
- Internship terms are conducted in four batches during the financial year:
- May – June
- August – September
- November – December
- February – March
- Application Window: Applications must be submitted between the 1st and 10th of the month, two months prior to the internship term.
- Last Date to Apply (Current Cycle): March 10
Stipend / Perks
- Stipend: Rs. 20,000 per month (lump sum)
- Travel Reimbursement: Travel expenses reimbursed for journey to and from the Ministry (Deluxe/AC Bus or 3 Tier AC Train)
- Accommodation: Hostel facility provided in Delhi on a sharing basis during the internship period

- Up to 20 interns per batch
