Legal Job Opportunity – Manager (Legal)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Have 5–8 years of experience in Product Legal, Fintech, Banking, or Digital Financial Services.
- Possess a strong understanding of:
- RBI regulations.
- Payment Aggregator Guidelines.
- Digital Lending Guidelines.
- Default Loss Guarantee (DLG) framework.
- KYC/AML requirements.
- Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
- Have proven expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Be capable of balancing legal risks with commercial objectives in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Be comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance legal operations and contract management.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
Product & Regulatory Advisory
- Serving as the primary legal advisor for GoKwik’s fintech products.
- Advising on payment aggregation, digital lending, prepaid instruments, and other regulated financial products.
- Partnering with Product and Business teams on product structuring, customer journeys, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Providing legal guidance on RBI regulations, Digital Lending Guidelines, KYC/AML requirements, consumer protection, outsourcing norms, and data privacy laws.
- Assessing legal implications of new business models, partnerships, and technology integrations.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and advising leadership on compliance strategies.
- Supporting regulatory submissions and industry advocacy initiatives.
Commercial Contracts
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing complex commercial agreements.
- Managing contracts with banks, NBFCs, payment partners, technology vendors, merchants, enterprise customers, and strategic partners.
- Developing contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and approval frameworks.
- Supporting strategic partnerships and market expansion initiatives.
Data Privacy & Compliance
- Leading implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework.
- Drafting and reviewing privacy policies and data processing agreements.
- Supporting audits, investigations, regulatory submissions, and dispute management.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Working closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Business teams.
- Improving legal operations through automation, process optimization, and contract lifecycle management.
- Leveraging AI tools to improve legal workflows and documentation.
