Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold an LL.B. and/or LL.M. degree.
- Have 6–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a law firm, real estate company, or private equity fund.
- Possess strong knowledge of land laws, title due diligence, and revenue/land records across India.
- Have experience in drafting and negotiating real estate transaction documents.
- Be capable of handling customer disputes, litigation management, and legal advisory functions.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents including Letters of Intent (LOIs), term sheets, lease deeds, leave and license agreements, conveyance deeds, powers of attorney, affidavits, indemnities, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, procurement agreements, and other commercial contracts.
- Providing legal support to various business functions and reviewing contracts for legal compliance.
- Advising on contract disputes and ensuring appropriate legal safeguards.
- Managing stamp duty and registration processes for legal documentation.
- Advising internal teams on real estate, land, property, and regulatory compliance matters across India.
- Maintaining legal knowledge repositories relating to legislative and regulatory developments.
- Coordinating and managing litigation involving the company, including engagement with external lawyers and senior counsel.
- Drafting and negotiating Joint Venture Agreements, Development Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), Shareholders’ Agreements (SHAs), lease deeds, and related transaction documents.
- Supporting leasing transactions by drafting fit-out letters, car park letters, NOCs, and associated documentation.
- Handling customer documentation such as application forms, allotment letters, buyer agreements, maintenance agreements, and conveyance deeds.
- Assisting internal and external stakeholders in resolving legal disputes and business conflicts.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and ensuring compliance with internal legal processes.
- Keeping abreast of legal and regulatory developments relevant to the real estate sector.
