Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a Tier-1 or reputed law school.
- Have 5–7 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in manufacturing-based industries or top-tier law firms.
- Possess a sound understanding of the Companies Act, Indian Contract Act, M&A, Mining Laws, Environmental Laws, and Real Estate Laws.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service agreements, conveyance deeds, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), engagement letters, term sheets, and purchase orders.
- Advising business functions on legal policies, compliance, and risk management.
- Providing legal advice on mining, environmental laws, land acquisition, contracts, and regulatory approvals.
- Supporting legal matters relating to renewable energy projects.
- Assisting with legal due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Providing legal and risk mitigation advice on land, environment, health and safety (EHS), labour and employment, factory compliance, privacy, security, and regulatory matters.
- Coordinating with external legal counsel on litigation and legal proceedings.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Maintaining Legal MIS and providing regular updates on relevant case laws and legislative developments.
