Paid Remote Legal Research Internship
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be law students in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of a law programme at an NLU or any other recognized law school in India.
- Or be a recent law graduate.
- Possess strong legal research and legal writing skills.
- Have excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Be interested in the intersection of Law and Artificial Intelligence.
- No coding or machine learning background is required.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will be responsible for:
- Annotating legal documents, including contracts, judgments, and statutes.
- Evaluating and grading AI-generated legal responses as part of the Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) process.
- Developing legal reasoning benchmarks for AI systems.
- Curating structured datasets comprising Indian and comparative legal materials.
- Preparing research notes on areas such as:
- Competition Law
- Contract Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
- Arbitration
- Tax Law
- Other specialized legal domains.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to improve AI model performance through legal feedback.
