Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
- Experience as a paralegal, qualified lawyer (or equivalent), or an experienced compliance professional.
- Experience in the financial services sector within a Legal, Compliance, or similar function.
- Candidates with experience in data handling, analysis, validation, quality control, and management are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical, research, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the development, maintenance, and management of Barclays’ Laws, Rules and Regulations (LRR) Inventories.
- Assisting in the implementation of Barclays’ Legal Risk Management Framework.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments affecting the financial services sector.
- Preparing management information (MI), reports, and governance documentation.
- Supporting legal procedures relating to LRR Risk Management.
- Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Business, and Chief Controls teams globally.
- Supporting data governance, quality control, and technology enhancements relating to legal inventories.
- Assisting in legal training initiatives and promoting consistency in legal risk interpretation across jurisdictions.
- Contributing to legal research, regulatory compliance, remediation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience supporting legal professionals or senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of legal risk and control frameworks.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment applicable to financial institutions.
- Experience working on cross-functional or global legal projects.
