Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized law programme.
- Be familiar with Intellectual Property (IP) and Corporate Law frameworks.
- Have the ability to assist in legal consulting by analyzing client requirements and legal risks.
- Possess skills in drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documents.
- Be capable of identifying, analyzing, and summarizing legal issues.
- Be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in an office-based environment.
- Prior internship experience at a law firm will be an added advantage.
- Be available for a minimum internship commitment of one month.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will be expected to:
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents.
- Prepare briefs, contracts, legal opinions, and other legal documentation under supervision.
- Support due diligence exercises and documentation relating to Intellectual Property and Corporate Law matters.
- Organize case files and maintain legal records.
- Summarize legal issues and monitor important deadlines.
- Attend client meetings, where required.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to the firm’s attorneys and associates.
