Internship Opportunity – Legal Intern
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited LL.B., B.A. LL.B., or equivalent law programme.
- Possess a strong foundational understanding of criminal law and civil litigation.
- Have excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Be proficient in using online legal databases and conducting case law research.
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and effective time management.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and case law analysis.
- Assist advocates in preparing briefs and case notes.
- Draft and review legal documents, including notices, applications, affidavits, and basic pleadings.
- Organize and maintain case files and legal records.
- Assist in preparing documentation for court proceedings and client meetings.
- Support client interactions under the supervision of advocates.
- Attend court hearings, where required.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress.
