Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
- LL.B. or equivalent law degree
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in corporate legal and compliance functions
- Prior experience in listed company compliance, regulatory reporting, and multi-jurisdictional compliance environments
- Exposure to technology-enabled legal and compliance processes (preferred)
Additional Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of experience with Insider Trading Regulations
- 5+ years of experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance
- 5+ years of experience with SEBI Regulations
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Listing Compliance
- Independently oversee regulatory and listing compliance requirements
- Manage governance and oversight of statutory records and regulatory filings
- Ensure compliance with Indian and U.S. securities laws
- Advise on insider trading regulations and disclosure frameworks
- Interpret and implement SEBI (LODR) Regulations
- Support stock exchange filings and Form 20-F disclosures
- Coordinate with Finance, Company Secretariat, and senior management teams
ESG Governance & Compliance
- Support integration of ethics, compliance, and regulatory assurance within the ESG framework
- Assist in BRSR-aligned disclosures and ESG Council reporting
- Coordinate with ESG rating agencies and internal stakeholders
- Strengthen governance-led ESG initiatives and transparency measures
Technology & AI-Enabled Compliance
- Lead adoption and governance of compliance technology tools
- Enhance compliance workflows, dashboards, and monitoring systems
- Improve data integrity, efficiency, and enterprise-wide compliance oversight
Compliance Risk Management
- Identify and assess regulatory and compliance risks
- Develop mitigation strategies and internal control mechanisms
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen compliance frameworks
Stakeholder & Authority Engagement
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, government bodies, auditors, and external law firms
- Deliver practical and business-oriented compliance solutions to stakeholders
Regulatory Responses & Enforcement Matters
- Support responses to regulatory inspections, investigations, and inquiries
- Assist in developing defensible legal and compliance positions for regulatory matters
Internal Advisory & Subject Matter Expertise
Provide guidance on:
- SEBI Listing Regulations
- U.S. and Indian Listing Compliance Frameworks
- Insider Trading Regulations
- ESG Compliance
- Regulatory Governance Matters
Support internal teams including:
- Finance
- Legal
- Human Resources
- Marketing
- Risk Management
