Legal Job Opportunity (In-House Legal Counsel)
Eligibility Criteria
- Proven experience as an In-House Counsel, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial agreements
- Strong understanding of Intellectual Property law with practical exposure to IP protection
- Qualified legal professional with a degree in Law
Role Purpose
- Managing commercial contracts with external partners
- Overseeing and protecting Kwalee’s intellectual property
- Advising on general legal matters including commercial contracts, employment law, trademarks, patents, and IP protection
- Supporting the implementation of new legal procedures across the organization
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing commercial contracts with external partners
- Maintaining records of legal takedown activities
- Identifying and addressing IP infringements, including game clones
- Coordinating with internal teams, external counsel, and platform holders to enforce IP rights
- Managing trademarks and developing strategies for additional trademarks
- Conducting legal due diligence for internally developed and third-party published games
- Assisting in defending the company against infringement and related legal claims
- Monitoring legal developments relevant to the business, particularly in IP, trademarks, and patents
- Presenting legal findings to management and stakeholders
- Providing ongoing legal advice as required by the business
