Legal Job Opportunity – Legal Counsel
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university in India.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial contracting at a law firm and/or an in-house legal team.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, preferably within the technology, fintech, SaaS, or services sector.
- Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms, contract AI tools, or other legal technology solutions will be an added advantage.
- Additional training or coursework in commercial law, technology law, or data protection is desirable.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including:
- Technology and Platform Services Agreements
- SaaS Agreements
- Supplier Agreements
- Licensing Agreements
- Services Agreements
- Supporting global client contracts, renewals, amendments, onboarding, and day-to-day contractual matters.
- Assisting with intra-group agreements across regulated and non-regulated FNZ entities.
- Identifying legal and contractual risks and escalating complex issues where necessary.
- Supporting regulatory compliance, including data protection and outsourcing requirements.
- Assisting in dispute management, document review, and coordination with external counsel.
- Maintaining standard legal templates, contract playbooks, and legal processes.
Legal Technology Responsibilities
- Working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms for contract intake, drafting, approvals, execution, and tracking.
- Utilizing AI-powered legal tools to improve contract review and issue identification.
- Supporting legal reporting, audits, and data quality initiatives.
- Promoting the adoption of legal technology to improve operational efficiency.
