Legal Job Opportunity – Legal Counsel
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law or a higher legal qualification.
- Be qualified to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
- Have approximately 9 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Possess prior legal experience with leading financial institutions or reputed law firms.
- Have an in-depth understanding of equities, brokerage, or other financial services businesses.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Be capable of reviewing a wide range of legal documents.
- Possess excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Knowledge of an Asian language will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation relating to Equities and Enterprise Legal matters.
- Providing legal advice on institutional equities and enterprise legal issues.
- Preparing and updating the firm’s legal policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with the Group Legal and Compliance teams on regulatory matters and special projects.
- Liaising with internal departments and affiliated entities on legal matters.
- Coordinating with external legal counsel and service providers.
- Delivering legal training and guidance within the organization.
