Legal Job Opportunity – Legal Counsel & Founder’s Office Associate
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised institution.
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in a law firm, an in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
- Strong drafting, contract review, negotiation, and legal research skills.
- Ability to understand commercial objectives and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working directly with founders, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong ownership mindset, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor, technology, marketing, consulting, partnership, licensing, NDA, and data processing agreements.
- Develop contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and approval processes.
- Track contractual obligations, renewals, and legal risks.
Corporate and Transaction Support
- Support corporate governance and compliance across Hunch’s entities in multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist with board and shareholder documentation, regulatory filings, and corporate records.
- Support financing, investments, restructuring, and due diligence exercises.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, banks, investors, and service providers.
- Assist with employment and cross-border regulatory matters.
Product, Regulatory and Compliance
- Advise product and technology teams on privacy, data protection, consumer protection, platform compliance, and user safety.
- Research regulatory developments affecting AI-enabled products, dating platforms, and online consumer businesses.
- Assist with payment, app-store, and advertising compliance matters.
Founder’s Office & Strategic Projects
- Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on strategic and commercial initiatives.
- Support new business models, partnerships, market expansion, and vendor negotiations.
- Conduct legal and commercial research and prepare decision notes for leadership.
- Translate complex legal and commercial issues into practical business recommendations.
Legal Operations & AI
- Build scalable legal operations and contract management systems.
- Use AI tools to improve legal research, drafting, risk identification, and contract review.
- Create templates and processes that improve operational efficiency.
