Position: Legal Associate
Eligibility Criteria
- Law graduate from a reputed law school.
- 2–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Additional qualification as a Company Secretary (CS) or Intermediate CS is preferred.
- Prior experience in the media or advertising industry will be an advantage.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Contracts Management
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts independently.
- Drafting, vetting, restructuring, and redlining of:
- Creative Service Agreements
- Celebrity Agreements
- Media Services Agreements
- Confidentiality Agreements
- Leave and License Agreements
- Inter-Company Agreements
- Participate in contract negotiation calls with clients and vendors.
- Identify and mitigate legal, commercial, and operational risks in contracts.
- Ensure proper execution of contracts and maintain contract databases/MIS.
- Conduct contractual due diligence exercises.
Intellectual Property Rights, Compliance & Litigation
- Support legal compliance initiatives relating to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Coordinate with departments, business teams, and external counsels on litigation matters.
- Maintain and manage litigation-related MIS and reports.
- Prepare periodic litigation reports for internal stakeholders.
- Draft demand notices, rejoinders, replies, and legal responses.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of Intellectual Property Rights and litigation management.
- Excellent analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Team-oriented approach with a collaborative mindset.
