Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
- LL.B. or an equivalent law degree.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and legal drafting skills.
- Ability to simplify complex legal and regulatory issues into practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High standards of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative on-site environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience in media law, corporate law, commercial law, regulatory law, public policy, compliance, or litigation.
- Prior experience with a law firm, corporate legal department, policy institution, or legal research organization.
- Familiarity with communications, public affairs, reputation management, or stakeholder engagement.
- Interest in legal advisory, strategic communications, and multidisciplinary consulting.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting legal research on media law, corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and public policy.
- Analyzing legal and reputational risks relating to public communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Preparing legal memoranda, advisory briefs, research notes, and internal reports.
- Monitoring legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments relevant to communications, corporate governance, and compliance.
- Providing legal insights on messaging, public positioning, and stakeholder communications.
- Reviewing contracts, policies, and other legal documentation.
- Collaborating with communications, strategy, and legal teams on client advisory projects.
- Maintaining confidentiality while exercising sound professional judgment.
