Position: Legal Associate
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.
- An LL.M. degree or specialized certifications in relevant practice areas will be an added advantage.
- Have a strong foundation in civil, criminal, corporate, and constitutional law.
- Prior experience in litigation, law firms, or corporate legal departments is preferred.
- Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Be proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with international legal frameworks will be an added advantage.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting legal research on statutes, case laws, and legal precedents.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, and correspondence.
- Assisting senior advocates in litigation and case preparation before courts and tribunals.
- Preparing legal briefs, opinions, and case strategies.
- Coordinating with clients to obtain relevant information and documentation.
- Managing case files and maintaining accurate legal records.
- Supporting domestic and cross-border legal matters.
- Liaising with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
