Legal Job Opportunity – Junior Associate (Litigation)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold a recognized LL.B. degree or an equivalent qualification with strong academic performance.
- Be enrolled with the Bar Council.
- Possess working knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS)/Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), the Indian Evidence Act, and commercial litigation practices.
- Have strong legal drafting and research skills.
- Be proficient in legal research databases such as Manupatra, SCC Online, or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Be capable of managing multiple litigation matters while meeting court and filing deadlines.
- Be willing to appear before courts and tribunals and travel, if required.
- Candidates with prior litigation internships, chamber experience, or moot court participation will have an added advantage.
- Be comfortable using MS Office and legal document management systems.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting pleadings, applications, replies, affidavits, legal notices, and other litigation documents.
- Conducting legal and case law research.
- Preparing case briefs, hearing notes, and litigation strategies.
- Assisting with trial preparation.
- Tracking cause lists, hearing dates, and court filings.
- Coordinating with local counsel, court staff, and clients.
- Maintaining matter files and case status trackers.
- Supporting appearances before courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities.
- Working closely with senior counsel and the litigation team on ongoing matters.
