Legal Job Opportunity (Intellectual Property Counsel)
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering
- Preferably a Law degree with specialization in Intellectual Property
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a practicing IP attorney
- Registered Patent Agent in India
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing IP counselling to business teams
- Strong understanding of patent laws and procedures
- Experience in patent drafting and prosecution across multiple jurisdictions
- Exposure to product IP clearances, patent investigations, and IP-related agreements
- Experience in large and complex organizations is preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Advising R&D, engineering, and business teams on identification and protection of inventions
- Conducting patent searches and technical research for patentability and competitive analysis
- Managing preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications and software copyright registrations
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel
- Providing IP counselling on collaborations, licenses, research agreements, and related transactions
- Conducting IP awareness and training sessions for employees
- Ensuring compliance with Indian IP laws and monitoring legislative developments
- Supporting innovation management and strategic IP initiatives
