The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is India’s premier investigating agency, functioning under the Government of India. The internship is administered through the CBI Academy, Ghaziabad. As stated in the official advertisement, the scheme aims to provide law students with practical exposure to investigation and prosecution work.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Must be a law student enrolled in a reputed law university or institute.
- For students pursuing a 5-year integrated LL.B. course: must be undergoing or have completed the 8th semester.
- For students pursuing a 3-year LL.B. course: must be undergoing or have completed the 4th semester.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will assist CBI law officers and investigating officers in:
- Researching court judgments
- Preparation of court applications and replies
- Presentation of evidence and documents
- Examination of witnesses in court
- Trial work and pairvi work
- Data collection
- Other assignments assigned by senior officers

Offline
Interns will be attached to CBI offices at:
- Delhi
- Mumbai
- Chennai
- Kolkata
- Lucknow
- Bangalore
Important Dates and Timelines

- Internship Duration: 3 to 6 months
Stipend / Perks
- No stipend will be paid.
- Interns must arrange their own travel and accommodation.
- Exposure to the functioning of the CBI and practical legal work in investigation and prosecution.

- Mark sheets from Class 10 onwards
- Enrollment status letter from current institution
- Recommendation letter from Principal/HoD for a minimum internship period of three months
