The Singapore Legal Service is responsible for providing legal services across various ministries, departments, and statutory boards of the Government of Singapore. The Legal Service offers law students an opportunity to gain practical exposure to public-sector legal practice within one of Asia’s leading legal jurisdictions.

Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from:
- Law undergraduates
- JD students enrolled at:
- National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Singapore Management University (SMU)
- Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
- A “Scheduled University” under the Legal Profession (Qualified Persons) Rules
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected interns may receive exposure to:
- Public-sector legal practice
- Government legal departments and agencies
- Legal research and advisory work
- Policy and regulatory matters within the Singapore Government framework
