Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized University or Institution.
Experience
Candidates should satisfy any one of the following:
- Two years’ experience as an Officer of the State Judicial Service; or
- Two years’ experience in the Legal Department of a State; or
- Two years’ experience as a Central Government servant dealing with legal affairs; or
- Two years’ experience as an Advocate at the Bar.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Examining legislative proposals received from various Ministries and Departments for drafting Bills, Ordinances, President’s Acts, Regulations, etc.
- Scrutiny and vetting of statutory rules, orders, and other legal instruments.
- Supervising the Section and allocating work among staff members.

Pay Scale
- Level-8 in the Pay Matrix under the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC).
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 30 years (Unreserved category)

Probation
- Two years.
