Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
- Have practical experience in property law, title verification, and scrutiny of immovable property documentation.
- Possess experience in collections relating to the mid-market or corporate segment.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of land laws, stamp laws, registration laws, and property due diligence.
- Be proficient in reviewing title documents, legal opinions, and revenue records.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and analysing Title Search Reports, legal opinions, and revenue records relating to immovable property.
- Examining the chain of title, encumbrances, municipal records, tax records, mortgages, pending litigation, and compliance with applicable land laws.
- Identifying title defects and advising on appropriate corrective measures.
- Assessing the legal status of land, including freehold, leasehold, government, agricultural, and industrial properties.
- Providing written legal opinions on title-related issues and highlighting potential legal risks.
- Reviewing mortgage documentation for property-backed transactions.
- Advising business teams on stamping, registration, jurisdiction-specific requirements, and legal compliance.
- Supporting internal legal teams in managing documentation and mitigating legal risks associated with secured lending transactions.

Preferred Background
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in:
- Banks
- Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs)
- Law firms
- Real estate or property law practice with exposure to title verification and property due diligence

- Ability to review and interpret title documents and revenue records.
