Position Title
Associate – Commercial Disputes Team
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should have:
- A 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree from a reputed university with an excellent academic record
- Strong knowledge of:
- Commercial laws
- Civil Procedure Code (CPC)
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
- Limitation Act
- Company Law
- Constitutional Law
- Arbitration and court procedures
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong analytical, drafting, and legal research skills
Experience Requirement
- 1 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation and arbitration
- Experience in drafting:
- Legal notices
- Civil suits
- Appeals
- Writ petitions
- Special Leave Petitions (SLPs)
- Written submissions
- Exposure to domestic and international arbitrations involving contractual disputes
- Additional experience in corporate advisory and intellectual property disputes will be an advantage
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting legal research using various databases
- Drafting pleadings and first-cut drafts in arbitration and commercial disputes
- Assisting senior lawyers in preparing documents and court filings
- Communicating directly with clients when required
- Filing documents before courts and tribunals
- Visiting courts and client offices as needed
- Writing articles on relevant legal topics
