Position: Associate Legal
Eligibility Criteria
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.
- Strong experience in:
- Contract drafting
- Contract review
- Contract negotiation
- Contract management
- Sound understanding of:
- Contract Law
- Commercial Law
- Corporate Law
- Regulatory Compliance
- Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Prior experience in technology, SaaS, fintech, regtech, KYC, verification, or compliance-focused businesses will be an added advantage.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including:
- Customer Agreements
- Vendor Contracts
- Service Agreements
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
- Partnership Agreements
- Terms of Use and Privacy Policies
- Provide practical legal advice to business and commercial teams.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including execution, tracking, renewals, amendments, and closure.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Support compliance initiatives related to corporate governance, data privacy, information security, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business.
- Coordinate with external counsel on legal notices, disputes, litigation, and regulatory filings.
- Assist in developing legal processes, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure legal and compliance alignment.
