Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be duly enrolled with the Bar Council of India or the Bar Council of West Bengal.
  • Possess 0–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Have a keen interest in litigation and counsel practice.
  • Demonstrate strong legal research and drafting abilities.
  • Be committed to building a long-term career in litigation.

Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in:

  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Drafting of pleadings, submissions, and other legal documents.
  • Assisting in matters relating to:
    • Direct Taxes
    • Indirect Taxes
    • Allied Laws
    • White-Collar Criminal Defense
  • Regular court appearances for:
    • Mentioning matters
    • Seeking adjournments
    • Requesting passovers
  • Assisting in litigation strategy and case preparation.
  • Independently arguing matters after acquiring sufficient experience and working knowledge of taxation laws.

Mode of Work

Offline / Court-Based Litigation Practice

The role involves regular attendance before courts and active participation in litigation proceedings.

Professional Exposure

  • Hands-on experience in tax litigation and white-collar crime matters.
  • Regular courtroom exposure.
  • Opportunities to develop advocacy and arguing skills.
  • Mentorship and practical training in counsel practice.
  • Scope to independently argue cases with experience.
